Frank drives a 2nd generation Honda Odyssey. The Honda Odyssey has roughly 200hp.

At what speed should Frank drive to rush home on the highway to his wife and kids from the mistress and the motel room 100km away?

At enough speed to create a tidal wave of air to make a poor little Fiat 500 off balanced and swerve in the lane adjacent to me.

Never in my life have I seen a Honda Odyssey move so quickly, easily over 100mph (it was a decent downhill). I was terrified. Not so much for my life or the Fiat 500's, but the Honda's Transmission's life instead. It must have been screaming the entire time out of sheer terror.

I wonder what a 2nd gen Odyssey sounds like at >100mph from the inside? I'm sure very few know.

I know my pilot is limited at 109, is be surprised if the odyssey isn't either. So 109 mph.

*My pilot was ok noise at that speed, not s class or bimmer but not shit box either. Just at 108 mph and above it wouldn't stay in overdrive, so I kept it at 105.

Those Fiat's seem to have a lot of body roll in them though.

no, but I know what a 1999 GM U-Body sounds like at that same speed.

This is why we should be more like Europe. Mistresses should be disclosed. Keeping secrets just leads to scary driving.

Damn it, why pilot be so slow. I think the oem tires where rated around 110, so I bet the difference was in tires. I'm probably the only pilot owner that can say these speeds happened legally.

Ive never gone over 85 in the Odyssey, because Ive never had a legal opportunity to. That thing is a ball of fun at high speeds though, it takes curves way too well for something of that size

I did not expect this to sound so good. I would hoon.

Note: I already daily a 2002 Chevy Venture. It doesn't sound half bad at full tilt.

I daily a '02 Venture!! I just don't know what it sounds like at 100mph first hand. It does have a decent sound imo.

That's awesome! What year is she?

My video isn't of mine. I actually love my van. She's gone through a lot and it's extremely difficult to stop her.

I heard they even allow the mistress to come to the funeral in Europe when the guy dies.

Here the discovery of the mistress causes a funeral, haha.

This is such an accurate (yet simplified) representation of culture in Europe and North America in two sentences.

This kind of blew my mind!!

Shes a 2000 Honda Odyssey EX-Navi. Shes not actually mine, shes my dad's. But my dad drives so rarely and my mom hates driving something so large, so shes practically mine. Shes at 94k miles on the original transmission

Driving that fast probably isn't hard on the transmission. What's harder is when the thing is loaded down with people or stuff and it has to shift (or downshift) under wide open throttle at lower speeds when there isn't as much air going through the transmission cooler.

My '91 Jeep Comanche wasn't bad at an indicated 185km/h (115mph), It was also surprisingly stable, much more so than it was at around 130km/h (80mph). The wind noise was big, but the motor wasn't too loud as long as I could hold it in overdrive, which didn't really happen because it struggled to put down enough torque to hold that speed unless it was in 3rd, so most of the time it was quite loud and banging off the rev limiter. Unfortunately when I slowed down to a more reasonable speed, I discovered that my trusty 310,000 mile 4.0 had torn apart the main bearings trying to keep that up for a whole five minutes.

Moral of the story, high speeds is for racecar. Not Jeep. And probably also not Odyssey

Same here! She isn't technically mine either. My dad rarely drives maybe once a week (if that) to get groceries. I drive her to university an hour away every day.

The "Silver Bullet" has ~158,000km on her (roughly 100k miles?). Everything is original as well. Minus the deer we hit in North Carolina in 2005 (I believe it was) on our roadtrip to Florida from Toronto. We had to replace the radiator and a few other components on the front passenger side corner.

We put the last 50k kms in the last 3-4 years. She only really became used more often when my brother and I started driving. When my brother bought his own car, she essentially became mine. And being a male in his early 20's in the largest city in Canada, the insurance is the right price as well.

I bet you've also got some amazing stories about the Odyssey too! I love my minivan.

310,000 miles is amazing in my books! Our Chevy Venture would probably kill itself if running at full tilt for 5 minutes. She can take abuse but not so much for so long.

I still only have my permit, but Im the only one in my house who feels comfortable behind the wheel of that thing that also likes to drive. I will amass many stories though, the weekend after I get my license (hopefully if everything stays on schedule by the middle of january) I plan on going up to Morrison, CO in it with some friends and carve some mountain roads
